The New York Pinball Journal
Maybe it was the influence from those early visits to Coney Island, Rockaways Playland, the amusement parks and boardwalk arcades, regardless it's been over 29 years that I have been in the pinball and arcade business. In the beginning my father got me involved when he ventured into operating a game route. That evolved into doing service work for various route operators and arcades. I even tried full line vending which included snack machines, soda, candy etc. Following that I operated my own game route for a while but pinball was always what interested me most.
I didn't know it at the time but I had found the ideal occupation that had everything I was looking for. I love working with my hands, I like a good challenge and I get to use my mechanical skills and artistic creativity. I also love the variety of every day being different combined with meeting all the great people I come in contact with. I still get a great sense of satisfaction and pride when going from a 'before' to an 'after' in the restoration process. I guess you could say I'm lucky I found the perfect business for myself !
